Positive Concepts at a Glance

Suzanne Veltrop, CPDT-KA

When Suzanne founded Pawsitive Concepts in 2016, she had one goal in mind: To help humans and dogs create loving, lasting relationships through positive training. With a
passion for teaching, a lifelong love of animals, and hundreds of hours of study and hands-on dog training experience, she has been able to do just that.

Suzanne is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA) and has extensive experience training dogs. She is a graduate of The Academy of Pet
Careers (APC), earning a Certificate as a Specialized Professional Dog Trainer; Animal Behavior College (ABC), earning a Certificate as an ABC Certified Professional Dog
Trainer; In October of 2019, Suzanne earned the internationally recognized title of Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed (CPDT-KA); and in 2023,
earned the title of Atlas Certified Service Dog Trainer. She is also a Canine Good Citizen evaluator and a Professional member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers.

Today, Suzanne teaches her clients how to train their dogs using the most progressive, ethical, and scientifically proven methods of positive reinforcement. Not only is this
approach more effective and less stressful for the dog, but it’s also more gratifying and fun for the human, too!

This approach also helps keep the training environment relaxed and free of pressure, which promotes learning and growth. This is right in line with Suzanne’s philosophy that
training should bring joy, not stress. So, she always encourages her clients to have fun, laugh off their mistakes, and take time to celebrate success with their best four-legged friend.
